🧡 Papaya Smoothie Bowl
Refreshing, tropical, and naturally sweet – a creamy plant-based smoothie bowl made with ripe papaya and banana. Perfect for hot days and healthy starts!
🧂 Ingredients (1–2 servings)
🥤 For the smoothie base:
1 cup ripe papaya (chilled or frozen, cubed)
1 frozen banana (for creaminess)
¼ cup plant-based milk (oat, almond, soy, or coconut)
1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional, for fibre)
1 tsp lime juice (for brightness)
Ice cubes (optional, for thicker texture)
🍓 For toppings:
Granola or muesli
Sliced banana or fresh berries
Chia seeds, pumpkin seeds or coconut flakes
Drizzle of maple syrup or nut butter (optional)
👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the fruit
Cut ripe papaya into cubes. Use chilled or frozen fruit for a thicker texture. Peel and slice a frozen banana.
Step 2: Blend the smoothie base
In a blender, combine papaya, banana, plant milk, lime juice, and seeds (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust consistency by adding more milk or ice.
Step 3: Pour and decorate
Pour the smoothie into a bowl. Use a spoon to gently swirl the surface flat. Add your favourite toppings – granola, fresh fruit, seeds, etc.
Step 4: Serve immediately
Enjoy cold with a spoon. Eat within 15 minutes for the best texture.
